5 years & counting.. Happy Anniversary my love!

Ever since I began blogging about years ago, I've made it a point to blog a little thank you to my wonderful husband (you can find those here, here & here).... this year we are celebrating 5 years of marriage & it's more special than any other because we have our daughter Emma.

Dear Edwin,

Marrying you has been the best decision I've ever had to make & if I had to do it all over I most certainly would! One of the precious gifts of our relationship is the comfort of knowing I can always be myself with you, and you will accept me for being just that. With you, I never have to laugh when I feel like crying, or be quiet when I need to talk, or stay calm when I feel like getting upset, or sound positive when I need to complain... But by far the greatest comfort is the knowledge that when I need a friend... I never have to be alone. I know that when I need to talk, you will really, really listen. You always find ways to show me I'm important to you. Your support adds so much to my life. You share in my joy as if it were you own. You feel my pain... and you cry with me. When I want to change a paret of myself, you gently encourage me in my growth without demanding, pressuring or criticizing me if I fall short of my ideals.
Thank you for understanding me, accepting me, and loving me as I am. You've played such a special role in my life, but you will always ho.d an even more special place in my heart. I love you babe!

I love you because you gave me Emma. She's the product of our love, and the one whom we strive to be the best for. And I know I say this often, but I really am blessed that you work very hard to allow me to stay home with her... THANK YOU!

Times like these make beautiful memories... Times like these are why I love you. You mean more to me more than anyone ever will. I look forward to the future as a family.

Here's to the rest of our lives!

Loved you yesterday
Love you still
Always have
Always will

Raul + Crystal : 2 year Anniversary . . .

She describes him as very funny, her sweet soul mate and blunt... Crystal wouldn't have it any other way. Raul describes his wife as beautiful, courageous and someone he could not live without. Its wonderful to hear couples talk about each other this way even after marriage...

They are what we can call "Junior High Sweethearts" well, kinda. Crystal struck a cord in Raul's heart the first day of 6th grade. Thereafter Raul always found a way to partner up on school projects because he was smitten. Crystal admits she liked him as a friend since day one. So much, they remained good friends from middle school up thru high school and even went to graduate on to the same university, California State University Northridge

June 3, 2001 their Senior year of high school, Raul confessed his true feelings towards Crystal and their relationship went on to flourish. He invited her to his church where she has been going with him ever since. Their mutual goals before even considering marriage was to finish college with a bachelor's degree and to have their dream jobs. Needless to say by 2007 they had both graduated and on December 22, 2007 Raul proposed and asked her to make him the happiest man. Ten months later on October 25, 2008 their dreams became a reality and they wed.

Its been two years later and they wanted to celebrate with a photo session! Here are my fav's from this wonderful couple...

Raul I've known you since we were like seven... I'm so happy to see how God has blessed your life and given you the woman of your dreams; A wonderful wife who I'm happy to also call my friend. You do a great job serving God at church with your talent and thank you for making our streets safer each day. Crys, thank you for always being there for me especially when I've needed you most. May God continue to bless your life and families. I wish you both nothing but the best and cant wait to see what the future holds for you guys!

2 Years & Counting

The flowers Eddy surprised me with the morning of our anniversary were a lovely red... and reminded me how lucky I am to have him!
I wanted to dedicate this entry to my loving husband, that although many doubted we would last the first year here we are celebrating two. Honey, I want to thank you number one for putting up with me and all my imperfections, for standing faithfully by my side thru the thick and thin. I will not lie to everyone and say that every day has been perfect, but I can say I would not change anything we have been thru together, because it has knitted our relationship stronger every passing day. Thank you for being my best friend for the past five years & for being honest with me when I ask you, "How does this look on me." I can always count on an honest answer from you. Also for accepting my pet-peeves, such as putting the tooth paste away :) and learning to love my favorite sport - baseball. Without you my life would not be complete & I cannot imagine a day going by without having to brew your coffee every morning. Baseball games, church, dinner dates would just not be the same. Because I know you are willing to go thru shark infested water to bring me an ice cold strawberry lemonade. For looking at me the way you do in the morning when you say "Good morning mi reina" and for treating me like a queen. Your the one that reminds me to hold my head up high regardless of the curve balls life my throw us. This list can go on forever but wont for the sake of my readers... Finally, thank you for supporting what I love to do & encouraging me to follow my dreams. Without you this photography business would not be possible.
And because I don't say it enough: I LOVE YOU!!! xoxo
