My favorite gift, ever.

 My world has drastically changed in the last couple of weeks, but its more than I could have imagined. The love I feel towards my baby girl has no words. It's helped me understand God's undeniable love for us. Let us not forget to celebrate the real reason for the season. It's a time to be thankful, and that I am. 

She's the product of our love. Confession: the best thing that has ever come our way. I can't thank God enough for allowing me to be her mommy. She's smart & healthy, what more can one ask for? And that is why she's my favorite gift, Ever.

Week One In Review

Yes, internet, I know... Its been lets say for-eva since I've blogged.  Please accept my apologies... Life has been crazy the past couple of weeks leading up to giving birth to my first.

One week ago today, at 10:46 A.M., I became mommy to a healthy baby girl! She immediately became my everything & I love her more than words can describe.

Despite the fact that many things can wrong during ones pregnancy, I'm grateful that God was merciful & was by myside even during the intense seconds before Emma Elizabeth made her grand entrance into this world. The minute I heard her cry for the very first time I began bawling. And the first time I was able to carry her in my arms I knew she would change my life forever. That life would never be the same.

One week later my sunshine brightens my day no matter the forecast outside...
All because she stole my heart & made it her own.
Both my husband & I will never forget this Thanksgiving.

Before you were conceived I wanted you.

Before you were born I loved you.

Before you were here an hour I would die for you.

You are my little miracle baby girl.

4 years & counting

This entry is dedicated to the love of my life, my best friend & husband. 

Around this time four years ago I had so many butterflies in my stomach I couldn't contain them all even if I tried. I walked down the isle to meet a handsom, teary-eyed groom that in just minutes I could call My Husband. We both vowed to for good & for worst, sickness & in health, to stay faithful to each other & God until death due us part. I was the happiest woman alive then and with sincerity I can say I'm still the happiest woman alive! 

I thank God from the deepest part of my heart for brining you into my life, and not just for a stint, but forever. These past four years we've grown together, realized dreams & set new goals, accomplished things others said we could never do, traveled, loved and just in the past few months created a little miracle that's inside my tummy yearning to make her grand entrance in the next couple of weeks! She's going to be a part of me & a part of you. Our lives are changing by what seems the minute, I have no doubt that you will be an amazing father & continue to be a wonderful husband. I look forward to our future more than ever!

Diana | Malibu Portrait Session

A couple weeks ago we took a drive up to Malibu because I wanted to practice shooting in full sun... although as most photographers we prefer the pretty soft life of a late afternoon, weddings and such dont always revolve around "pretty light".  Diana had asked me to take some head shots of her so I took advantage & made this a learning opportunity as well.

Sneak into my DIY Baby Shower

So this past Saturday was our baby shower & everything turned out just like I had envisioned it... except for the weird weather but thats just something we cant plan for right?!

Anyway, I didn't get a picture of EVERYTHING because I was too busy mingling with guest but I think you can at least get an idea :)
