Maternity portraits have quickly become my favorite. The anticipation leading up to the birth of a little miracle that has been growing inside a mama for the past nine months... And finally getting to hold the precious baby has to be one of the best feelings in the world! A mothers heart grows with each child. I thought my heart was full and overflowing, but somehow grew a million times bigger the day our second daughter was born.

It was a perfect Saturday afternoon for a session. The sun was out in Orange County and the weather was just where I love it, in the 70's. That's January in California for ya :) The time had come to document my friend of ten plus years, Yessenia and her baby bump along with her precious family. They are all so excited that in just a short couple of weeks they will be welcoming in a baby girl!!!

Because they have such a beautiful love story I asked if I could share it with you all! True love is sometimes found when you least expect it... even if that means getting into a little fender-bender ;)

"We met March 22, 2004. I was on my way to work at the mall and he was just leaving from buying some shoes. We crashed because he was coming out of the parking lot (where he shouldn't be) trying to avoid the bumps so I hit him. But if you ask him it was all my fault lol. Or he will even tell you I hit him on purpose because I was mesmerized by how handsome he was.  We were friends for about a year and a half until one day he asked me to be his girlfriend and 3 years later in Cancun on my birthday he proposed to me. After having dinner we went for a walk on the beach and he popped the question. I cried completely shocked! I seriously didn't see it coming. And 2 years later on November 20, 2009 we got married in simple ceremony at city hall and a small get together with family and a few friends. " - Yessenia

Amiga, I'm so happy for you & your growing family! Your baby girl is already soo loved and I know she is going to bring you all so much joy! I pray you have a smooth delivery. I can't wait to meet the princess already!!

Baby-blessing #2 gender announcement!

As I'm approaching the half way mark, we wanted to share that just yesterday we were finally able to find out the gender of baby-blessing #2 who will be arriving late September 2013! Let me tell you... baby did not make things easy. Ha! Monday we went in for the third time... Yup, the previous times, baby was with legs crossed & all curled up. You know, all comfy. Can't blame the child ;) But, third time was the charm...

This morning I took Emma & big bro Troy to the park to snap some photos...

The next three photos are her being very EXCITED! haha

 It's a G-I-R-L!! 

Yup, and we are soo excited that Emma will have a baby sister to grow up with 

& create many memories!

Can't say I was shocked when the technician told us, only because so far my pregnancy has been very similar to my last one, but we feel incredibly HAPPY & BLESSED! Can't wait to meet the newest addition to our family!!

New blessing announcement!

WE are soo happy to share that we have been blessed & our family

 will be growing by one coming this September!

 

Baby #2 is currently 11 weeks so we still have a ways to go.... Thankfully I didn't suffer from morning sickness with Emma & so far its been the same this time around. Only thing is fatigue, but it's part of the process ;)

Pregnancy Update - The past two weeks I finally started feeling pregnant. Like my body just realized there is a bun in the oven! Feels like my body is stretching like crazy. Honestly, before the only reason my husband believed that I was pregnant was because of the little bump... and now, lets just say its not so little. At my 24 week check up, even the doctor was surprised how much the belly had grown in just four weeks - a whopping 9 inches! Went from 20 to 29 inches!! I'm not able to just hop up & out of bed anymore, I need an extra couple seconds to muster up strength now. Walking for long periods of time isn't as pleasant as before.  With all that said, as baby Emma grows I am now able to feel her kick and punches stronger & when she gets hiccups it just melts my heart. It truly is amazing. And having the wonderful husband that I do, just makes this experience all that more delightful! I love you Edwin<3
